The following note is in response to Bilal\'s comment below. Bilal and Saleh think that \"joint tenancy\" has something to do with rental leasing. In fact, it does not. Here is the definition of \"joint tenancy\" for the Merriam-Webster\'s Dictionary of Law:

\"A tenancy in which two or more parties hold equal and simultaneously created interests in the same property and in which title to the entire property is to remain to the survivors upon the death of one of them (as a spouse) and so on to the last survivor (a right to sever the joint tenancy).\"

Dictionary definitions seem to favor \"joint ownership,\" but I have also added suggestions in the sense of \"joint occupancy\" because the terms being posted are related to travel, hotels, and so on. I had an inkling (which may be wrong) that perhaps the meaning of the expression has been extended by the travel and hotel industries to include the sense of joint occupancy.
