Hi,

I suspect my attached CV is not getting trough to potential clients. It says "Cannot preview the file, try downloading it". Anyhow, with that said you can still open it with Google Docs without downloading it.
Is it a problem? Is it OK?

Few potential clients will attempt to view your CV, so when a client does want to do that, then you should make sure nothing stands in their way. If Gmail refuses to show a preview of your CV, then it will cost you clients.

There may be something wrong with the file. I suggest you send it to me so that I can have a look. What kind of a file is it? PDF, DOCX? If PDF, how did you create the PDF file?

Anyhow, with that said you can still open it with Google Docs without downloading it.

That is no consolation. Very few clients will take steps to overcome the hurdle of not being able to see a preview of it.

DOC file Jun 3

Gregor's attachment was a DOC file (not DOCX) created by OpenOffice. Creating a PDF file instead solved the problem.
