In my experience, I've been through this situation several times, with different backgrounds: 1. Agencies: The agency is being paid by the client to do the job they pass over to you. If you tell them the truth, they will be paid 100% by the client and pay you whatever you'll charge with your honest discount. So, for agencies, no no no. 2. Direct clients: If you signed and NDA with either client, you cannot share the transaltion or even the fact that you have already translated it. You can mention that you have done something "similar" only, and perhaps offer a discount. Nothing beyond that. 3. In a few situations, clients have copied and pasted or attached entire documents that are either official or from third parties. In some occasions, I have found a translation for these documents, and I do inform my client and offer a discount, with two options: A) If I found an official translation, I suggest a copy and paste at no charge (very rare, if ever).
