I'm a translator, not an interpreter. I have the utmost respect for them because they do something I can’t manage to do, no matter how hard I would try many years ago...

Sounds to me like an organisation done all that could be really useful and then gone on rampaging mission creep ...

The most serious large 'users of interpreting services' won't take a blind bit of notice of these 'standards', they have their own extensive experience to build on their own Standard Operating Procedures.
