It did not stop, one just has to go to the individual language option to activate DeepL in Studio. This did not happen to me before ... Wondering

I escalated it a bit and received an answer from the Support Manager. I must say they are extremely quick in answering, but he confirmed that the functionality will NOT be restored on versions below 10.
So I shared with him our opinion.
In short:
- This is not an individual bug fix but a functionality that was available and should be restored, as you would expect in any product.
- This way, they are forcing faithful customers to buy their next product.
- They say it is DeepL's fault because they changed something in the API (1): For users, it is irrelevant where the problem originated. They partner with DeepL, and we expect the function to be available again after it suddenly disappeared.
- They say it is DeepL's fault because they changed something in the API (2): Then they should explain why the issue did not affect other CAT tools. There will certainly be a technical explanation for this. I don't mean to say memoQ did it on purpose.
- They now have a dissatisfied customer base. | | |

The Deepl plugin works again in 11.0.20, with a BIG but: it does not take terminology (glossaries) into account!! How this can happen (after all, the glossaries is the one distinct advantage of Deepl over other alternatives) completely escapes me, but it is what it is.
This ignorance of glossaries was the straw that broke the translator's back, but I have several other bones to pick with Deepl:

- Random ignorance of terminology: Even if you have a clear, unambigious glossary, Deepl can ignore it randomly and you still need to stay very vigilant at all times.
- Traditionally wrong spelling in Spanish: Keeps using "sólo" with the accent "just because"... Always incorrect lower case after markers such as "Nota", "Importante", "Atención", etc.
- Traditionally wrong grammar: It fails to use the subjunctive in many situations that require it in Spanish. It also completely ignores the fact that a negative sentence in Spanish requires the negative coordinator "ni" and not "o". How is it possible that that they can leave this unfixed for ever?
The sum of all these little things is too much for me. Even if I generally like Deepl, I do not have the time or intention to keep correcting such shortcomings. Deepl needs to improve... and fast while I explore other alternatives and switch to something else.

I can confirm that 11.0.20 version works just fine, but still Kilgray is NOT going to release any fix/updated for versions lower than 10.2. | | |
