Hello,

Is there a way "tashkil" can be erased from an Arabic text in Word?

Thanks
Nadia

As follows.. Oct 25, 2005

Yes, simply use (replace) function under (edit) menu.
Put one diacritic symbol ONLY without any letter in (find what) and nothing at all in (replace with). Repeat the same steps with the rest of the diacritic symbols.
Good luck.

They can be hidden Oct 25, 2005

Follow the following steps to hide or show diacritics:

1. Select "Options ..." from the Tools menu
2. Select the "Complex Scripts" tab
3. Check or uncheck the "Diacritics" box under "Show".

The document will still retain the diacritics, but they will be hidden or visible depending on your choice.
